Lately I have been completely absorbed in reading articles and books about self-sufficient living. This has been nothing new for me; when I was younger, my father and I would often talk about my plans to retire onto a cranberry farm in northern Wisconsin. Lol. But now that I'm older and can actually do things, I'm starting to get antsy. I really wish I had a yard or something. Apartment life can kind of put a damper on setting up your 5 acre homestead...
Anyway, I know that a lot of times one of the goals of self-sufficient living is to get "off the grid," so to say, with electricity use and such. But I am really happy that some of the people who live that way can post helpful information online for people like me who want to live that way too! :)
I love all the creative ways I have found online to be self reliant, because every situation is different, and I can combine others' ideas and make my own. Having access to those sites and all of that information is awesome!
